TerrorThe car is a famous Frazer Nash single seater known as Terror, and Tip Top Engineering had recently completed a full bevel box and rear axle rebuild, including new bevel gears and a new axle beam, whilst also retaining as many original components as possible.

The owner was about to scratch his Shelsley entry so James offered to drive the car, because the test drives around the block had given hints of fantastic potential.

The car owner and equally James at Tip Top are pleased to report that Terror won first Vintage in class at the VSCC meeting.  Due to its very quick steering, Terror is a twitchy but fun car to drive and the little 1500cc Anzani pulled well. There must be something lucky about James and blue Frazer Nashes, because his outright VSCC record in the blue Frazer Nash Norris remained unbroken.  Also unbroken, was the outright prewar record from 2014 when James drove the ERA, despite a challenge this year from a much faster ERA.
